I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, where most of my family still resides. After serving in the United States Army as an infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division, I graduated from Auburn University and embarked on a 22-year career in sales and marketing with Anheuser-Busch, Inc. I reached a point in my life with the blessing of my family where I was able to pursue my childhood dream of a career in veterinary medicine. I was a resident of the state of Georgia and was accepted into UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Make no mistake, I bleed ORANGE and BLUE! After working in Charlotte, NC, at a very busy small animal clinic for the past 7 years, my wife and I are excited to call Auburn our forever home. We have two grown daughters: Allie, an Auburn grad now working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist in Charlotte, and Maggie, an NC State grad (with many years of Auburn brainwashing) and now a Registered Dietitian.
I really enjoy all but a few facets of veterinary medicine, but the areas that are the most rewarding for me are making lasting relationships with families, surgery, and physical rehabilitation. I am currently working on completing my certificate in canine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.
My passions/interests outside of the office are working with sporting retrievers, scuba diving, studying wildlife, and all things Auburn. Anything that keeps me outside!
Dr. Van White, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Van White is a passionate veterinarian and lifelong Auburn fan, now proud to be practicing in the community he’s always admired. Originally from Franklin, Tennessee, Dr. White recently earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine following his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Auburn University. During his studies, he developed a strong foundation in small animal care, surgery, and preventative medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. White spends time with his wife, Courtney, their two-year-old daughter, Lillian-Paige, and their two dogs, Frankie and Rosie. Whether enjoying time with his family, cheering on the Auburn Tigers, or working on his golf swing, Dr. White is dedicated to providing compassionate veterinary care for his Auburn neighbors.
